Timeframe:
September 1st, 2025 - February 28th, 2026
Over two consecutive three-month cycles, Fémina Oaxaca will train 60 women entrepreneurs from the handmade and agro-industrial sectors through its Emprende Fémina program.
Training will take place at its
Center in San Felipe del Agua, Oaxaca, with two simultaneous cohorts of 15 participants each per cycle.
Participants meet once a week for two-hour interactive sessions, progressing through ten sequential modules covering business profile, client segmentation, value proposition, revenue streams, cost mapping, basic accounting, self-care and shared care work strategies, female leadership and alliances, permits, legal structure and scaling programs.
Throughout the program, each module combines theoretical insights with hands-on exercises, peer-to-peer feedback and expert mentorship, two specialized workshops on selling on social media and packaging, guiding participants step by step through the development of a comprehensive business plan (which is reviewed during a mentorship session), the cultivation of supportive networks, and the acquisition of practical skills they need to sustain
and expand their ventures.
Graduation ceremonies are considered; graduates receive a mobile point-of-sale system as an award.
Enhanced skills in business model development, financial management, customer engagement, and increased capacity to secure microloans and form commercial alliances for 60 women entrepreneurs.
The 2025 curriculum will alsosee the implementation of two dedicated networking events—open to female participants and alumni—designed to facilitate connections with new suppliers, clients, and strategic partners among women-led businesses.
Two 2-hour networking sessions for current female participants and alumni, featuring structured networking dynamics such as guided introductions, themed breakout groups, and collaborative exercises. These sessions will foster connections with new suppliers, clients, and strategic partners—particularly among women-led businesses—and strengthen the overall Fémina community.
Timeframe: November 2025-February 2026
This is with the goal to aid participants in forming new business connections, collaboration leads, and expand their professional networks among women-led businesses. Participants will gain visibility, boost confidence in presenting their ventures, and strengthen peer support within the Fémina community.
The curriculum will also include the organization of the Violet Christmas expo fair, where participants will showcase and sell their products, applying newly acquired skills, increasing visibility, and connecting with new customers during the holiday season.
The Violet Christmas Expo Fair will be a two-day public event in Oaxaca City where participants will showcase and sell their products. Each entrepreneur will have a booth with signage and basic setup support. The fair will be promoted through social media, local networks, and program partners, and will feature raffles, product demos, and live music to create a festive atmosphere. In addition to helping participants apply their business skills, gain visibility, and connect with new customers, the event will also raise awareness about women-led businesses, handmade products, and the value of supporting local female entrepreneurs.
Goal:
Increased sales and customer contacts for participants, heightened visibility for women-led businesses and handmade products, strengthened confidence in public selling, and expanded community awareness and support for local female entrepreneurs.
We will also be organising a Day of the Day of the Dead Fair where participants will showcase and sell their products, applying newly acquired skills to increase visibility and connect with new customers. By aligning this event with the Day of the Dead festivities, the fair leverages the presence of tourists in Oaxaca City, expanding market access and fostering cultural exchange.
